Culinary Essentials 2: Series (Sold Out!)

 Always wanted to learn how to cook but found it intimidating? Just moved out and have to learn how to cook your own meals? The Culinary Essentials Series is for you!
This 6 week Hands-On series is designed for the beginner cook who wants to learn
the basics as well as the experienced cook who wants to hone their skills
In each class we cover the basics of cooking techniques, ingredients and
equipment that will help make you a more confident, capable cook.
Gain the confidence as you learn to cook, to try a new recipe or even cook without one.
Judy will thoroughly discuss all the recipes and different techniques involved. We will also focus on knife skills, ingredients, menu planning and equipment. A full meal will be enjoyed in every class.
Come to one class or enjoy the whole series.
Week 1: Meat and Poultry-Feb 20
Unlock the mystery of  how to select and cook different cuts of meat and poultry. You will learn about the various cuts of meat and which cooking method is best.

Week 2: Fish and Shellfish-Feb 27
You will learn how to choose, prepare and cook various fish and shellfish using different methods. After this class you will feel at ease cooking a variety of fish and shellfish at home.

Week 3: Sauces and Dressings-March 6

Adding a fabulous sauce or a dressing to a salad or dish takes it to new heights. Feel like you are in restaurant with these delicious sauces.

  • Pasta with a Bolognese Sauce

Week 4: Breads– March 13
Enjoy fresh baked bread from your own oven. We will make several different, versatile doughs that you can bake in a variety of fun shapes or in a loaf or as rolls.

Week 5: International Cuisine– March 20

Week 6: Pastries and Baked Goods– March 27
